The hustle and bustle of Roxas Blvd in the morning. How all those people at CCP have the will to get up and jog so early is beyond me.

My gorgeous weekend. Part of me didn’t want to go back to Manila, especially since doing so required a seven-hour bus ride. I’d pick the ocean over thesis any day.

Hopped on the back of my dad’s motorcycle to go see the sunset one afternoon. The locals were hauling in their nets from the sea. It was lovely. Sunsets always calm me, they’re so beautiful.

Batchoy. A must-try for tourists and a well-loved meal for locals of Iloilo. My favorite thing to do pair it with pandesal or puto. A boiled egg is always delightful too.

A group meal where different kinds of fish, huge prawns, pork, lechon, rice and vegetables are laid out on a long, long table covered with banana leaves, and everyone sits down at the table and eats with their hands.
We like to do this at family reunions in the province. Then when we’re done we have a food fight with the cake.
